From Classroom to Canoe: Grade 9s Showcase Skills and Teamwork on Outdoor Expedition

Our Grade 9 students recently returned from a 3-day canoe trip through Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park where they put their outdoor skills, teamwork, and determination to the test. The trip served as a culmination of their learning and a chance to challenge themselves in a new environment.

During the trip, students worked together to paddle, portage, set up camp, cook, and clean up. They also embraced the "Leave No Trace" principles, applying what they had learned in Outdoor Education classes earlier in the year at LCS.

Congratulations to our Grade 9 students for rising to the challenge and showcasing their growth and development since the beginning of the year!
