This past Friday, LCS hosted K-Rod; a human dogsledding race. The whole Paper House event was a great success and Pullen took the gold in all three racing categories: slalom, long distance and the sprint.
Everybody had a great time cheering on their teams while chowing down on our BBQ'd hotdogs. The night was finished off with an amazing set of fireworks. Thank you everybody for coming out, our event organizers Asheesh and Regan, to the whole School Life Class for putting together a great night and Peter O'Grady for all of his hard work preparing for the day!
The Katchewanooka Rod is based on the Iditarod Great Sled Race. Our K-Rod is run by teams of seven (six pullers and a musher), where no man or woman is left behind as all the racers must be on or pulling the sled, when it passes the finish line.
