Learning About Health

By Janice Runza

On Tuesday, February 16 the LCS community welcomed Jack Veitch, a Health Promoter and Educator with the Canadian Mental Health Association.

Jack gave a presentation to staff and students about the facts surrounding marijuana use, the risks associated and the impact such use has on the brain.

Jack connected very well with the students and engaged them in thoughtful and insightful discussion.  The students asked some well-articulated questions and some stayed after the presentation to discuss more personal information directly with Jack.

We hope to have Jack return to campus for additional presentations as he offers a breadth of education and experience
