On Wednesday, March 2, sixteen Grade 11 and 12 physics students represented LCS at the annual Engineering Week Challenge at the Evinrude Centre in Peterborough.
This year's task was to design and construct a solar-powered car. The scoring system was based on the performance of the car as well as a written report. Despite producing the top car in the challenge - the car that travelled the furthest and in the least amount of time - LCS did not have a team place in the top 3. Congratulations to Trevor Smith, Parizeh Rahman, Alex Kam and Richard Xia for their outstanding car.
Other LCS participants included Louis Fayolle, Mingze Lin, Ethan Lu, Asheesh Momi, Cameron Maltman, Liam Kaller, Katherine McNeice, Nathalie Heyden, Daniel Wang, Luke Torsher, Matthew Elphinstone and Buzz Lawson.
