#LCSsunriseselfie

On Friday, April 7, many LCS students participated in LCS’ own spinoff of the CAMH One Brave Night challenge. Students were asked to create a 1 minute house video talking about ways they manage their mental health. View the videos by Upper Colebrook and our day students online. In addition to the videos, students also went to bed early on Friday night and woke up at sunrise to take a #LCSsunriseselfie with their house. It was another successful event that helped continue the conversation of mental health and mental illness.

On Friday, April 21 50 of students participated in the World Vision 30-Hour Famine. Challenges that students took on throughout the 30 hours were: not speaking, complete removal of all tech devices and food. The students attended check-ins throughout the event and at midnight on Saturday celebrated with a pizza party. Thank you to all those who participated. As a school, we raised$1,600!
