On cold rainy dreary Sunday, January 10, an invitation to come into my home to “either learn how to make chili (both meat and vegetarian) or to just come and eat chili" was given to the girls in Uplands House.
Seven adventurous girls- Juliette Polito, Rachel Leung, Anna Natsu, Heather Park, Luisa Krakau, Dasha Egudkina and Robyn Mack came in and chopped, drained, stirred and seasoned two different chilis. At 6:00 p.m., 17 girls in total gathered in the Upper Common room to enjoy the fruits of their labours along with some garlic toast and apple crumble to complete the meal.
Final verdict- Delicious! The girls can't wait to do more of this cooking in their own kitchen when the stove is hooked up!
