LCS 1st Ultimate Team Shows Tenacity and Spirit at Cobourg Beach Tournament

Lakefield College School's 1st Ultimate team wrapped up their season with an impressive performance at the recent tournament held at Cobourg Beach.

Coming off a silver-medal finish in the CISAA Division 2 finals, the team arrived at the 32-team tournament ready to showcase their skills on the sandy battlefield. The day kicked off with three pool-play games, where the team faced some early setbacks. However, their determination and perseverance shone through as they rallied to win the next three games under the scorching sun.

The final match was a closely contested battle that ended with a narrow 1-point loss, but the team's unwavering tenacity and team spirit were evident throughout the tournament. A special shout-out goes to captains Devon '23 and Claire '24 for their exceptional leadership throughout the successful season. With their remarkable performance, the team is now in a prime position to host the prestigious OFSAA Ultimate Festival at LCS next May.

Congratulations to the LCS 1st Ultimate team on a fantastic season and a promising future ahead!
