Grade 11 Biology: Travel Marine Biology Program

This program combines online learning, a stay on our LCS campus, and travel to the Huntsman Marine Science Centre, which is a world class research and education facility. The focus of this course is on refining skills related to investigation through fieldwork, observation and inquiry while we explore biological systems and diversity of life, evolution, genetics, animal and plant life.

  • GRADE 11 BIOLOGY: TRAVEL MARINE BIOLOGY PROGRAM* | JULY 3 - AUGUST 2

    This travel learning adventure is a blended academic Grade 11 Biology credit course that combines learning online with the opportunity to explore and compare the diversity of the marine environment of the Bay of Fundy (St. Andrews, NB), with the freshwater ecosystem of Lake Katchewanooka (Lakefield, Ontario). This program includes a stay on our LCS campus, and at the Huntsman Marine Science Centre, which is a world-class research and education facility with access to marine experts, dedicated instructional labs/wet labs, the Fundy Discovery Aquarium, a research vessel, several classrooms, and a dormitory. The focus of this course is on refining skills related to investigation through fieldwork, observation and inquiry while we explore biological systems and diversity of life, evolution, genetics, animal and plant life.
