A Promising Start: LCS Girls' Field Hockey Team's Opening Games

Our 1st Girls' Field Hockey team had an exciting start to their season this week, with two action-packed games that showcased their determination and skill.

On Monday, they kicked off their home opener against De La Salle (DLS), displaying strong offensive prowess. Despite a valiant effort from all players, the final score ended in a 2-0 loss. But this is just the beginning, and the team is eagerly looking forward to their next encounter with DLS!

Wednesday brought our team to Trinity College School (TCS) for their first away game of the season. It was an intense battle on the field, resulting in a hard-fought 0-0 draw. A special shoutout goes to Taya Garbutt '24 and our defensive penalty corner unit, who held the line throughout the game, securing Taya's first shutout of the season.

Cheers to our field hockey players for their dedication and teamwork. We look forward to seeing what this season brings!
