Last Friday, we held our first Friday Night Lights event of the school year! Friday Night Lights has long been one of our students’ most loved events; it offers a chance for our athletes to put their skills to the test and their peers and faculty to cheer them on, spreading Grove spirit throughout the school community.
We were also pleased to once again welcome local secondary school teams back on campus to play and connect with our students in a series of matches:
⚽ Jr. Boys Soccer vs. Kenner CVI
🏑 1st Girls Field Hockey vs Holy Cross
⚽ 2nd Boys Soccer vs Kenner CVI
🏐 1st Boys Volleyball vs Trinity College
🏀 1st Girls Basketball vs Kenner CVI
It was terrific to see everyone gathered in the gym, watching our basketball and volleyball teams compete against each other. The show of support from students and staff as they sat shoulder-to-shoulder on the bleachers, holding handmade signs, and cheering on our teams, was heartening to see.
Congratulations to our athletes on a successful and hard-fought night of games!
