1st Boys' Soccer Team

By Ms. Janice Runza

On Saturday, October 5, 2019, the LCS 1st Boys' Soccer team hopped on a bus in the early morning to travel to Upper Canada College. It was UCC's Homecoming so we knew that it would be a challenging game as UCC would have significant support. UCC is also a skilled, quick, and strong team.  Right from the starting whistle, the two teams battled back and forth, with one team scoring and the other team quick to match it — for the full 90 minutes! In the end, LCS came out on top winning 6-5. Goal scores included R. Caines (2), S. Ramirez (2), A. Maltman and M. Northey. The coaches are proud of how the players stayed focused throughout the game and never let the energy or effort drop.

With a record of 4-1, the team is in a good position going forward into playoffs the week of October 28, 2019, but still has one more regular season game at home on October 23, 2019 against Crescent School. Well done players!
