An Unforgettable Weekend: LCS Music Students Perform at CISMF in Toronto

Last week, a group of 16 talented LCS Music students had the opportunity to represent us at the Canadian Independent School Music Festival (CISMF) in Toronto. The three-day trip was filled with excitement and anticipation as the students prepared to showcase their skills in the Senior Choir, Symphonic Band, and String Ensemble.

The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the concert held at Roy Thomson Hall on Saturday, where our students joined 1200 other young musicians from 32 Independent Schools. It was an impressive display of musical talent from students ranging from grades 4-12. The energy and enthusiasm of the performers filled the room and the audience was captivated from start to finish.

Our students shone in their respective performances, and their dedication and hard work in the weeks leading up to the festival paid off.

The CISMF trip was not only a wonderful opportunity for our students to showcase their musical abilities but also to meet and interact with students from other schools, broadening their horizons and fostering a sense of community and camaraderie. It was a truly enriching experience that will stay with our students for years to come.
