We are wrapping up another thrilling week of athletics at Lakefield College School and our talented student-athletes have once again showcased their skills in a series of exhilarating games! Enjoy some highlights from the week, below.

1st Boys Hockey - A Thrilling Rivalry Unfolds

In a nail-biting showdown against TCS, our 1st Boys Hockey team emerged victorious with a hard-fought 3-2 win on Wednesday. The game was a display of exceptional teamwork and individual brilliance, with goals scored by Will ’25, Kaydn ’25, and Calum ’25. Caleb ’24's outstanding performance between the posts also played a pivotal role in securing the win. The team's eyes are now set on two challenging fixtures in the upcoming weeks, as they continue their quest for a position in the playoffs.

1st Alpine - Shredding the Slopes with Style

On Wednesday, January 31, our Alpine team ventured to Devils Glen for the first Slalom race of the season. Despite the demanding conditions, our team delivered stellar performances. The High School Trained male racers, led by Axel ’26, Koen ’26, and Justin ’24, secured an impressive 4th place. Meanwhile, the High School Trained female team also claimed the 4th spot, with Ophelie ’25 standing out in the competitive Open Girls category. The Open Male team clinched 3rd place, showcasing the talents of Hugh ’26 and Nate ’24 against a field of over 65 trained athletes. Kudos to the entire team for their outstanding efforts. 1st Girls Hockey - Victory Against Ridley College

Our 1st Girls Hockey team celebrated a commanding 6-1 victory against Ridley College on January 31, 2024. Our team exhibited seamless end-to-end plays, allowing defensive players to contribute goals as well. Special mention to Danika ’25, who stepped into the goalie position after a hiatus of 1.5 years, making critical saves and showcasing her resilience. The team's success is a testament to their skillful plays and determination on the ice. Well done, team!
