Giving Back to the Community

November has been a busy month for community service activities at The Grove. Last week, students ventured to Peterborough to donate blood. In Canada, approximately 700 units of blood are needed every day to save lives. This year alone, 90,000 new donors are needed to meet this demand. Unfortunately, of the 12.1 million Canadians eligible to donate, only 4% do.

As the fall set in, students helped out a local neighbour by raking leaves on their property. Students also walked into Lakefield and planted tulips by the cenotaph in commemoration of the liberation of the Netherlands in WWII. It’s always great to see our students getting out into the community to lend a hand, while having fun!
