Congratulations to Anna Harris ’20 who has qualified for the Ontario Winter Games in Cross Country Skiing. Wearing the team colours for Kawartha Nordic, Anna successfully negotiated the thin, fast and icy conditions at the qualifiers last week. The event involved a Classic technique race on the first day, where racers largely double-poled the entire 6 km, and a 5 km skate technique race on the second day.
This achievement puts Anna in the unique position of competing in both the Ontario Winter Games (March 1-4 in Orillia) and the Ontario Summer Games (August 2-5 in London) in the same year, as she had already qualified to represent the Peterborough Pirates in Triathlon. Way to go Anna!
